Well..that first part of that title sounded a little negative ….but the second part salvages it!
YES, I would love, love, LOVE to go to BlogHer. It’s on my Bucket List in fact. But instead of wallow in my own pity fretting about it, I will party down with the rest of my bloggy buddies in a like circumstance.
Stephany from To Be Thode and Maya from Marfan Mom had a fabby idea of holding a No-Go BlogHer party just for all of us that are sitting at home this week. The idea is to have a virtual meet and greet bloggers just as if we were at BlogHer. Now comes my favorite part, talking about me! learning about new and rockin fellow bloggers.
Here’s my answer to my No-Go To BlogHer Questions:
1: When did you start blogging? A little over two years ago. I just had my 2 year Blogaversary in fact. I read somewhere that two years in blogging is like TWENTY in “real life years”. So basically if my blog was a two-year old, it would be just thinking about Big Kid Beds and just discovering the joys of a cheeseburger. Maybe even battling demons like pacifier addiction and plotting deep covert operations like Which Dolly Will I Sleep With Tonight. Deep stuff.
2.Why did you start blogging? I love to write. Especially storytelling. I think my co-workers were relieved that I had a new outlet when I started blogging. They were starting to get that painful-constipated-look whenever I’d run up to them and say. “Oh! Oh! I have a great story to tell ya!”. I also blog because I am an approval ho.
3.What is one thing you are going to do this week that is WAY cooler than going to BlogHer? Do this of course! Duh! Plus I am feeling pretty cutting edge this week. I think I will celebrate by sleeping in until 5:15 (as opposed to to 5:00 a.m), don a swim suit and go swimming with my kids (hopefully there will be no danger of harpoons), and take only ONE Webinar this week (I’m a webinar ho too). Reading this dangerous schedule makes me want to go lie down. I better pace myself.
4. Share a post that you think says a lot about you or is your favorite. (share the link in YOUR post so we all can see). Wow..um..well, I have several favs on my blog, BUT the one that most sums me and The Fam up the best is So NOT Your Normal Herd.. Blogger Punk nailed it when she commented on this post. “Normal is overrated. Love covers a multitude of oddities.” I swear I will have that made into a t-shirt someday. Luv ya Punk.
