Kid’s say the darnedest things.
But sometimes adults say some pretty memorable things too.
Here’s some excerpts from my favorite quotes of the week:
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes…the ones who see things differently-they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things…they push the human race forward, while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see them as genius, because the ones that thing they are crazy enough to change the world…are the ones that usually do. (Steve Jobs-from Apple’s “Think Different” campaign a few years ago).
“Normal is overrated. Love covers a multiple of oddities” (from blogger Punk at http://theshortstorylong.blogspot.com/ I was serious when I said I may have this quote made into a T-shirt. It rocks)
“That was my butt” (Princess Saraboo in response to my inquiry as to what was the explosive sounds emitting from her tiny body was. Can’t argue with that).
“If you can’t wake up with a smile on your face, go to bed with a coat hanger in your mouth”. (President of Arbonne Rita Davenport during her motivational speaker days-still love this quote 20 years later).
Have you heard any good quotes this week???

I agree, normal is totally overrated!
Great quotes – especially the one from Princess Saraboo… Kids are too darn cute.
Stopping by from SITS.
Love the Punk quote, too. Actually, all of them are great Maybe you should make Princess Saraboo’s into a t-shirt instead? I think that would be brilliant.
My best quote from this week? Um…my 4 year old – “Did you know elephants make really big toots?” (as in farts)
I know. Pretty deep.
What is “normal”. Nobody knows.
Those are great quotes!!
OH MY GOSH! You quoted me! OH MY GOSH! I’m so excited. And you liked it enough to contemplate putting in on a tshirt?
Hello. Wanna be my new best friend?
The coathanger quote is hilarious! Glad I stopped by this morning, via SITS! Happy Friday to you!
‘Some people are like Slinkies. You can’t help but smile when you push them down the stairs.’
I am not sure who said it but it makes me smile.
Happy Friday.
Stopping by from SITS.

Funny quotes…
I saw your comments on Pursuit of Mommyness about reasons why you follow a mommy blog.
I am the mom of f.i.v.e. crazy boys. I write about my journey and just try to survive in the process … I tell them that one of these days they are going to find me on protest in the tree in our front yard. They laugh and do not believe me!
Check me out over at Crystal & Co. http://www.fourcrazychildren.blogspot.com
Hey lady! What a great blog, joined right away! Don’t have any quotes to offer right now, but just wanted to say hi, and thanks for your honesty and great input at POM!

“That was my butt!” LOL
Oh I love that quote by Mr Jobs.
Love Jobs’ quote. I’ve got a kid that describes perfectly.
I’m always amazed at how eloquently people put great thoughts out there! Usually everything out of my mouth is either nonsense or unrepeatable. LOL
Elizabeth Stone wrote this : “Making the decision to have a child – it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.”
Great quotes!! Clever idea. I collect quotes too and they really do make me think!
My brother just caught my niece singing “head and shoulders, knees and toes. My bare lady.” Yes, we are concerned
Those are so cute!
Of course when I try to think of some of the great quotes I know I can’t think of any.
These are some good ones!

I haven’t heard of any of these but they were all fun to read.
Love your quotes! I am such a sucker for quotes.
Here are a few of my current favorites.
“Enjoy every sandwich” Warren Zevon’s advice before his untimely death.
“I only mark the hours that shine.” Edie Beale, a mad, eccentric recluse. Wise words to live by.
And my favorite:
“Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I’m not living.” Jonathan Safran Foer. Beautiful words and so true for me.
Thank you for sharing your great quotes.
I love a good quote. I do one weekly I call WOWW (Words of Wisdom Wednesday).
Normal is overrated ..u bet ..
you have a wonderful blog here
I know this is terrible, but I have to be honest, I LOVE it when toddlers swear. I laugh everytime, but only when it’s random. I do try not to laugh because I do not want to egg them on.
great!!!!
Well, to piggy back on the smile quote …
“If you’re happy, inform your face.”
Cracked up at the slinky comment!
too funny!
One of my favorites:
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results- this would make you insane right now.
(The Director of the Teen theatre program I work with says this at least once a summer)
Brilliant quotes!
ok.. the coat hangar in the mouth – OUCH!
I LOVE quotes!! Thanks for sharing.
“That was my butt” is by far my favorite
That was my butt. LOL!
One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Seuss, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”
~Bea~
That was fun! Thanks.
