There are some days I really, really dislike my hair. OK. most days I really dislike my hair.
I think Sinead O’Connor may have the right idea.
I try. I spend the money. Buy the products. I get professional haircuts and perms. I spend WWWAAYYYY too much time fussing over it in the mornings.
To no avail.
By 2:00 it’s in a headband and flat as a pancake. That’s about time of day everyday I silently wish I had my old ponytail back.
And I like BIG hair too. Much to the chagrin of my hairdresser. I sometimes wonder if she secretly hopes I lie when people ask “who does your hair?”.
My mall bangs are the bane of her existence.
I tried to “mix it up” once…..you know…curl it “the other direction” and crazy stuff like that. That resulted in a hairstyle that was more Flying Nun than Farrah.
Sometimes change is NOT good.
Good thing hairspray is my friend. I am sure there‘s a hole in ozone layer with my name on it.
Basball cap anyone?

I’m with you. My hair has always been the most difficult thing.. forever.
I hate my hair.
I love big hair.
I am currently trying to grow it back into a ponytail. I check every day. I think I’ll have a weak sad little ponytail in less than a month. I can do one now, if I incorporate barrettes. I do not look particularly cute in a ponytail. But for right now, it’s all about the easy. If I DO look for a job in a month or two (like I keep saying I’m gonna) that may change.
Baseball caps seriously rock.
Scrunch it up with lots of hairpspray and then put your sunglasses on your head… works almost as well as a baseball cap
I’m the opposite end of the spectrum, I never use any products and I live in a ponytail. I say stop fighting it and just go with the flow, I’m sure it’s not nearly as bad as you think.
I believe in enough hair spray to make “helmet head” LOL
I love big hair. Love it! My hair won’t go big because it won’t go at all, but it wishes it could be big.
I hear you I have a love hate relationship with mine. I have great curly hair, but for it to look great I need about an hour in the am to get it too look that way. Being three months pregnant and with a two and half year old at home, an hour just for hair is not an option. So ponytail it is!!!
I hate big hair. I HAVE big hair.
I would love to have flat, thin, straight-as-a-stick hair.
Could it possibly be SMOOTH and SOFT too?
I would love that.
I was at the salon yesterday and nearly opted for a change.
Nearly.
Whew.
A forty-something woman with a terminal ponytail is HAWT, I tell myself.
I hear you loud and clear! I change my hair all the time, I grow it, cut it, color different colors, red, blonde, brunette, nothing crazy, but my daughter does sometimes! My hair is flat by noon, cut in layers, so I can’t pull it back in ponytails. But I like it longer than shorter!
I never liked my hair until it started thinning. Now I think I have beautiful hair and don’t want to lose one single strand of it!
Headbands are in style now, so see, you are stylish when you wear a headband!
I think you’re cool so I just gave you an award. Please stop by my blog and pick it up!
Love ya!
haha I hate my hair too! I need a famous hair stylist to make it pretty!
Hard to resist writing a post about hair, isn’t it! Especially with the changing seasons. It’s craziness on hair!
I wish I had a solution. But, alas, I succumb regularly to the mom ponytail, as you know.
My hair is straight in the front and curly in the back. Which means that whether I want wavy or pin straight, I have to “do” it. Thank god for pony tails.
