Recently the FB from SITs was a great gal from justalittlesomething. Hollie had this great idea about doing a “I HAVE” list instead of a “TO DO” list. We all get frustrated when things don’t move as quickly off our TO DO lists (mop the floor, clean the fridge, pay off the car loan) as we’d like. So instead of beating ourselves up on a daily basis, make a “I HAVE” list. A Happy Thought List. A “things I am grateful for list”. Fab idea Hollie! Here’s mine:
Things I have and am grateful for:
1. An amazing family.
2. God blessed me with a creative brain, and I am using it!
3. A kind heart. I am pretty perceptive. If you are in pain and need a hug, I’ll probably sense it.
4. Two arms, to give you that hug you need.
5. Determination. If things suck, I buck up and try to change it.
6. HOPE..I always have hope for a new and better day.
7. The love of a good challenge. It’s a good thing I thrive on challenge. Working full time, two small, kids, chair of numerous projects, and launching two new business….IS a challenge!
8. Confidence. Times may be tough now. But I am confident we all will emerge out the other end of this economic slump much. better. people.
9. Never-ending respect… for children (mine especially) and how quickly they change, grow, and work hard on just learning how to BE.
10. My job. Most days, it may suck the life from me, but it’s safe, secure, and keeps a roof over my head.
I have a lot to be grateful for. How about you?

She’s awesome.

I, too, loved this post from the SITS FB. I think it’s important to take stock occasionally of all that is going RIGHT in my life. It’s all too easy to focus on the negative. That’s why I do a Thankful Thursday post every week. It FORCES me to “accentuate the positive”. Powerful stuff, that.
You do indeed have a lot to be grateful for and it’s great that you are aware of it.
awww what a great list, truly so much to be thankful for!
I liked that SITS FB’s post, too. (as well as Pam’s Thankful Thursdays) It is so easy to forget that when the glass is half empty, it’s also half full. (Was that too trite? sorry – it’s early…)
An ‘I have’ List…I love that.
I have hope too. It’s something I seem to have generous amounts of.
Great list!
I LOVE IT! It’s so easy to focus on all the negatives…thanks for the reminder that we all have an “I HAVE LIST.”
Monday, what a perfect day to start my list!LOL!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, HAVE a WONDERFUL MONDAY!!
A lovely list! SITS sent me by…and I’m having a giveaway where EVERYBODY wins, so please come on down!
Great list! I too get caught up in daily mundane life & need to remember to take a step back & See all I do have. Thanks for the reminder!
Great list! It’s important to remember what we’re all grateful for.
Great list and idea! Love the “determination” quote, and “two arms” quote. Focus on the goods in life!! Loves it!
What a nice idea! Gratitude changes us! Thanks for coming by on my featured SITS day!
I love this exercise. I will certainly put it on my “To Do” list.
No, really, this is something I aim to do regularly. Sure helps ya when you are in a funk!
