It’s no secret we have our own lingo in the Kingdom of Tired. I remember back (not all that long ago) when trying to conduct any conversation with non-sleep-deprived adulys resulted in a lot of Whatchu say?”
Then a while back I stumbled upon this great post from transparentmama about some hilarious “Momfinitions”. (Give it a quick read. It’s spot on).
That got me thinking about all the “momfinitions” spoken in the Kingdom of Tired. Here’s a few funnier ones:
Mompursedrain-itis: The affliction that strikes me whenever I go to the grovery store or car repair shop lately
Snoofs: A.k.a “stuffy nose”
Double barreled runny: What most normal people would call a child’s nose during a cold.
Groggy Froggies: What my kids are every morning when I have to jackhammer them out of bed (except on weekends when I get to sleep in Then they are up by 6 a.m)
Mudslide south of the border: What happens in my daughter pull up when she gets into the Little Debby’s Snack (that dang kid can climb like a raccoon)
Releasing the beast: What I hollar to the rest of family evermorning when I release this snack-eating-uber-climbing-child from her crib (thanks Gawd for containment!).
Unheckle time: That quiet time after all kids are in bed (usually lasts about 5-10 minutes…then I am unconsious in bed)
Lost in the woods: The code word for all crappy/broken/annoying toys that “go missing” (and thank YOU Mr. garageman.)

Cool! Good on ya! (heading over to read it now!)
Well, why WOULDN’T you be interested? You are FABULOUS!
Listen, girlfriend, you need to change your name from Frantic Mommy to Fabulous Mommy! ‘Cause that’s who you are!

What a great interview! You’re too funny!
And sweet too, my husband was adopted at birth, so I like seeing what adoptive parents say.
